do i have to put program files/palring.exe or something..
You are correct in your assumption. The controling software automatically looks in the \Windows folder, which is why just putting "Calendar.exe" works, because it is located in the Windows folder.

Put the entire path to the program and it should work.

Regardless, Softkey Manager which I noted in this thread and someone else posted a link to works great, has the Contacts option and can be uninstalled and easily configured without playing around in the registry. There is a nice easy option to just set everything back to defaults as well if you don't like the way things changed.

no luck finding the file path but I did find this little app that allowed me to just use keyswop. Its the 8th post.

Nevermind I'm an idot didn't realize it could be tied to the camera button.

Re: Change left softkey on home screen?

Hi all, I have noticed people have been having problems removing my softkey changer, the easiest way to do it is to install a trial of Pocket Mechanic Pro it will show up in the applications remove programs list.

P.S. It can be used to add contacts or any other installed application to the left or right softkey. I personally use it for new SMS as it saves the pain of going through the now combined MMS/SMS.
