Change left softkey on home screen?

I've tried searching and didn't see this discussed anywhere.

By default, the left softkey on the home screen is Calendar. It there a way to change that to the Messaging app instead of calendar.

Unless I have a notification, I will use messaging A LOT more than Calendar, so I would rather have that set as my left softkey.

Thanks!

23-Changing SoftKeys
Create the following keys and Strings in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 2
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 3
112 is the left key and 113 is the right.
Set Default to what you want the key to read (ie. SMS)
Now for each key create a new string named Open and set the target path.

I seachered for "Change Soft Keys" and a thread popped up that was called registry tweaks. It was in there.

Thanks, that worked great after a soft reset.

I was searching for "Change softkey" as one word and didn't find that thread.

That will open up the messaging app, where you can choose from text messages or email accounts.

here is a link to a file that adds a nice little program to your settings list, think I found it over on xda. this has a drop down menu for each key that will set it to any files on your device! No reset needed!

Enjoy and thanks to Boz over at xda-developers
