Re: Introducing the iCube

It will install over the old cab.

Yikes! I guess I should go ahead and finish that up! I've been working on an actual program similar to the TouchFlo2 build that was leaked and haven't put any effort into iCube V2 since last month. I'll get back to it.

Re: Introducing the iCube

Well, I just got the HTC Touch from Alltel and was super happy to find this. I had put some other cube's on it, but decided this is the best.

The problem was, the 3rd and 4th cube (apps) are the same. (Actually the 4th changes to the 3rd about 1 millisecond after it displays)

I read everywhere and it was recommended to uninstall all other apps related, so I did.

Same thing.

So I did a hard reset.

The 3rd and 4th apps are STILL the same!!!!!

Any ideas?

(BTW, the minimal cube does the same thing)

Re: Introducing the iCube

iCube2 - Mainly aesthetics. Nicer animations that mimic ths iPhone and better looking icons, and a customizer.

TouchFlo2 Clone - actual program written from the ground up in VB that will allow Program Launching, Contact Calling, and Visual Favorites (getting a screenshot of the webpage for the launcher).

Not rushing you by any means....but do you have an ETA?

I really look forward to this addition and thank you for all you do here!

Smile Re: Introducing the iCube

Hi guys

i've installed IQube on my HTC Touch Duo and works well!. Only the following menu:

appears with the labels (Music, SpingTV, Youtube) but not show the Icons

Any suggestions?

Re: Introducing the iCube

ETA on both programs? Will Icube2 be less memory intensive? One idea might be to integrate the today screen so there would be more reason to use the touchflo. With programs like ultimate launch I rarely use touchflo anymore. Thanks for your great work!

Re: Introducing the iCube

Thought I'd answer here, too.

ETA on iCube2 and MusicFlo (TouchFlo2 clone) is hopefully by next month for both of them. iCube2 will probably come out first as it is the least labor intensive. Sorry for the long delay, but this is just a hobby, and my normal life sometimes has to come first. I may release MusicFlo without all the bells and whistles I originally planned, just to get it out here, and then add more bells and a few whistles as time progresses and later versions come out. We'll see.

Any Cube will be just as memory intensive as the original HTC Cube, probably more so since there are more icons for the customized cube. Cubes take up between 8 and 10 MB of RAM. No way has been found to integrate the Today screen with a Cube. Sorry.

MusicFlo should do better, depending on what type of icons you use. Right now using PNG icons MusicFlo is using about 1.25MB. I haven't finished the Contacts "side" yet, and I haven't added backgrounds either, so that may increase it a little, but as long as you use small file formats (PNG, JPG) you shouldn't see it get larger than 2MB or so.

Thanks for all your interest and kind words!
