ive tried going back to an older rom and non gps radio. still with same results Phone always off/no service. i appreciate the help tho. i just cant seem to fix the radio not working correctly

Yeah but if you follow ALL the steps in that post to the letter you should be able to get back to your shipped rom. Many others have done something similar to what you have done and got thier device running again.
