Just ordered a touch and have questions about my plan

I've had the 6700 for a year and a half and called Sprint today to let them know that I wanted a Touch. Sprint agreed to give me one at a discount since I've been a customer since 1999. I'm paying about $90 per month and I just want to make sure that the plan I have is good and see if there are any better Sprint deals. This is what my plan looks like:

Sprint PCS Fair & Flexible Plan

* Adjustable Anytime Minutes
* $50 Minimum Monthly Charge
* Nationwide Long Distance Included
* Unlimited Night & Weekend Mins. Included
* Caller ID, Call Waiting
* Three-way Calling
* Voicemail

Total Equipment Protection $7.00
Night & Weekend Minutes - Nights starting at 7 p.m. $5.00
Unlimited Sprint Mobile to Mobile Calling
Sprint Power VisionSM Access Pack $15.00
500 SMS Text Messages $8.00
Nation Wide Long Distance
Bill Type

How does this compare to other Touch owners plans?

Is there an opportunity for me to save?

Yes, the SERO plans but they likely won't let you transfer to that.

So I guess this isn't an opportunity for me then...

I have a similar package, but I have the unlimited Incoming plan and only have the $10 sprint vision package which is unlimited data and email. I have more people calling me than me them so I save about $20 since my rate plan is $34.99 for 300 outgoing mins and unlimited incoming.

they did just put out that new thing where you can change your plan at any time without extending your contract. and the sero plan is....a plan. so i dont see why they would allow you to do it. just go up to a sprint store and get someones business card with their email address on it.

Hmm, I guess I don't really know what the VisionSM is.

There are just different levels of access and after a certain MB of downloads you are charged. I don't think there is any difference between the $10 and the $15 plans. If you are getting more calls than placing them I would switch to incoming plan and save $$$ there...

I would suggest pushing harder for the sero plan. Persistance pays.

They won't let you just transfer a regular Sprint plan to SERO if you are under contract and keep your number. If you are under contract they will do it but charge you early termination fees and give you a new number. The trick is to open a new SERO account. Then you port your number from your old Sprint account to a prepaid phone.

After you open your SERO account and it is working you can then port your number back from the prepaid to your new "SERO" account.

Since you are under contract, you should just email them and ask for freebies or "perks" rather than going through all the mess. Go here for more info:

I would second that. press harder, threaten to cancel, try different reps, and ask them if u cant give me SERO, can u price match SERO for me...it worked for me, i got to retain my no. and the rep pricematched SERO for me, plus i retained the TEP of 4$/month v/s the newer 7$/month.
SO TRY AGAIN....
