If you look at the Mogul pics you'll see that Wifi and BT use the same antenna.

But like I said earlier: assuming it's there, it'll be disabled at the firmware/chip level, which means throwing a couple of device drivers and reg entries won't turn it on.

It'll be much harder than that...

not supported means its there, and we have to figure out wtf to do w/ it.!
Eh, it could be read either way. I wouldn't assume anything here.

If this is correct, then does anyone know where to find an external antenna? The little silver dot on the back cover pops out to give access to the port.

Is This perhaps THE antenna? http://www.mobileplanet.com/ft.aspx?k=102204

Or, is THIS it? http://www.mobileplanet.com/p.aspx?i...artner=froogle

That silver dot is a mirror for taking pictures of yourself, or anyone with you...

Be very, very careful using an external antenna - if you look at the connection under the mirror, its extremely delicate and if it gets broken you'll get no signal at all - and you may not be able to get a replacement under insurance. I'd check with HTC or WilsonElectronics to see if they have a recommendation for the adapter if you really need an antenna. The safest bet is to use something like the amplifier shown here - http://www.wilsonelectronics.com/ViewProduct.php?ID=123. - sheureka

6x Zoom Telescope for HTC Toucb camera...

It also says that it has a 201Mhz OMAP cpu and 64MB of ram.

That is really the HTC ELF

We are talking about the Sprint Touch which is the HTC Vogue.

Different phone, same name.

He said that some of his friends working at the center have gotten there's to run on wifi network, without physically making a switch. He will try to get a hold of one, and i hope to be able to use it and possibly get some picks for yah guys. He said though at the same time '3G is fast enough and w/ REV A out in Q1, WIFI will only be really useful inside a building w/ no coverage.... So after hearing all of this i conclude that it is some registry / rom tweak we need to do. Im sure you have heard this alot but just wanted to show you some real truth...
Gotta love the truth no matter how much you guess what the truth could be - Sprint would know, and certainly their techies first hand.

Someone else said this first - why would HTC change their production lines just because friggin Sprint didn't "think" we needed WiFi with their glorious Rev 0 ??

Thanks Ambush276 for sharing with us !!!!!!!!!

Hopefully you will get even more to share ... wink, wink !
