I am having a problem with Cootek's Touchpal though. It randomly disappears and is no longer available. The regular keyboard pops when I select touchpal. After a soft reset it works again????

search for sip change, works great, touchpal is probably the best touch screen keyboard i've ever used...

I had forgotten about Touchpal. Thanks for the linkage!

I think I'll get used to this quite fast. Major plus that its smaller than the Touch keyboard too... though its not by much, gaining back ANY screen real estate is fantastic in my book.

Umm... don't forget about SPB Full Screen Keyboard...

I didn't ever use it because it never worked with Opera or Opera Mini.

Then I figured out just now that if I select it as the SIP in the program and hit the keyboard button, it will direct input to the app that's running!

Now, I think I'm going to dump the other keyboards in favor of this one for anything but quick texts, which I'm great at doing with the 12-key Touch and can do without looking too much, even while driving (yes I know, don't need a lecture - I usually drive around late at night when nobody is on the road anyways).

I just typed up a full email on the SPB keyboard and I'd say the input speed was about as fast as typing on my 6700, which was a slight bit faster than the Mogul. I hated the Mogul's keyboard... very cramped compared to the 6700.

Anyway, try out SPB's full screen. I think I'm in love.

I just wish I could figure out how to make the skins work. If I could get the simple skin to work, I think I'd make even less mistakes but it seems that when I install that skin, it reverses it and flips it upside down, which causes it to be unusable and I have to soft reset.

Have been using touchpal for a little bit. I like it give it a try and let me know what you think app free until december http://www.cootek.com

Hey, i use full screen too!! whenever im doing more than a quick text, i pop that baby open and type like a pro!

Also, the simple skin on their site is for the previous version. Go here, someone else wanted an updated simple skin and the mods posted it.

I use the full 40 key touch for the quick texts and emails, but i am working on the XT9, seems promising if you can get used to it!
