i've set up a dummy server to set the scheduler to manual but this thing still starts activesync on it's own. anyone else notice this and is there a fix???

Please don't take this the wrong way: This question has been many times on every Windows Mobile device released in the last year or so (Windows Mobile has been auto-starting Activesync since direct-push was released).

In my opinion: It's not a big deal, particularly if you use direct-push - it's required...

there's no reason i would take it the wrong way but thanks for the preface. i agree that it's not a big deal...that is unless it's a power thief like it used to be on previous ppc devices. i didn't know it was related to the direct push but if it is one would think if direct push is not active then activesync shouldn't be either. however, we all know ppc devices are far from perfect.

anyways, if this is the only bug i come across, i'll be ecstatic!
