Place the ring tone files in the Windows root directory instead of the Windows\Rings or My Documents\My Ringtones.
Remember to search this has been discussed a couple of times. I'll leave this thread open until you confirm that worked.

Also rings for text messages and alerts needs to go in the Windows root directory as a midi or wav.

ActiveSync
Drag or Copy/Paste your MP3 into the first window that pops up ("Mobile Device" in address bar) Follow Pibe's instructions on how to activate it Ya it might seem like it might create clutter in your root but unlike regular ringtones it wont read the files inside another folder. Also, though memory is not much of an issue with the Touch like my mogul was, you can download free apps like Audacity and cut your MP3's down to 30sec for ringtones or even less for notifications. Do a search if interested. |
