Carry an old Motorola MicroTac with you as well, and when they ask, whip that out and say
"No, THIS is my iphone" And hand it to them... |

I'm gonna upgrade to the MicroTac soon. I really want a portable phone. My phone is getting a little hard to carry around.

Yep, that MicroTac was HOT! in the 90s. I used to carry two (TWO!) extended batteries with me, plus the car adapter, and I could go all day without recharging as long as I didn't talk on it - given it was 40 cents a minute, on top of the $40 a month for local service/calls only (remember when roaming meant leaving your state?) you really did try to not make or receive any calls...
Anyway, back on topic - after handing them the MicroTac you can explain how cool the "touch" interface is - you just press the buttons, and it works! Soooo cool. |

OMG!!! I used to sell both of those back in the 90s when I sold for Cellular One. And the tall brick. Now those were the days eh?????

No no baby.. this is where it's at.
I used to carry one of these babies... I was the coolest 20 something in my office. Thing weighed a ton, and service was spotty (good to know Sprint hasn't changed much since then) As for the comments about the touch... yah I hate when they see my Iphone theme on my 6700 and I smile coyly and say "yah it's an iphone". Then I tell them I cooked it in Helmi's Kitchen -- they get this glazed look on their face.... I'm such a poseur..... LOL
