Return to last opened window after sleep

Does anyone know of a setting that will allow you return to the last opened window after the touch has gone to sleep? For example, I'm reading emails, I put the phone down for a few min. When I come back I have to power it back on, and it takes you to the today screen. Then I have to use the Quick mean to go back to the emails. Not to bad but I'd prefer it to go back to the email screen which was the last window I was in.

Start Menu > Settings > Today > Items -- and change the Today timeout to something greater.

Otherwise, mine is the same as diomark and it goes back to where I was when it went to sleep INCLUDING to the open Touch Cube.

Or you could just uncheck the Today Timeout.

Funny, mine is unchecked but still exhibits this behavior. This is definitely related to HTC Home, if I don't run it then the last application is the one that is displayed after wakeup. However, with HTC Home running on the today screen, it will ALWAYS revert to the todaty screen no matter what the today timeout is set for.

I am running HTC Home though. I did however get rid of HTC Home Sprint because I didn't find those icons necessary (plus they added a scroll bar to my home screen with more than one calendar event).

something else that affects this is in start-->settings-->lock. if you uncheck "prompt if device unused for" option, it should wake to the last used app, even with the HTC home program.
