If your program installed in the SD card, most of the time it will exit when you wake ppc up. If you install to the main memory, it should be running when you resume.

I don't think that's the case with the Touch.. The microsd seems to stay powered on while the phone is off.. I'm using newsbreak from my microsd card -and it's usually running in the background unless I close it manually.

Yep, that did it for me, but now I can't have it lock. Man the choices phones makes us make; Now I have to choose.

yes, you are definitely forced to make choices. not a great solution if one is a security freak. or on the flip side, some may not even have this option if you happen to connect with an exchange server that enforces using a password...

Power button brings back to today screen

Every time the phone powers off.. after the timeout period and I power it back on ... it goes to the today screen and not the previous screen I was on...

Is there any way to prevent it from going to today screen?

my mogul used to that, but my touch goes back to whatever i was using last. i am not sure if the "today timeout" checkbox under settings ---> today : controls it or not, but my touch is checked and has a 4hr timeout....although i recall my mogul settings being similair yet it always went back to the today screen. good luck, it used to annoy the heck out of me too.
