Hi SBR, I'm using a verizon touch with the stock rom. here's what I got:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Unattended]
"WAV1:"=dword:00000000
That's what I tried with phm regedit and also with the cab file you provided, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

ima keep looking around as i dont remeber cabbing that up but i may be mistaken, can anyone else confirm this to be the path.

Ahh, SBR, I found the post. It was #378 by badb4c, then you made it into a cab. So I guess I should have asked badb4c, not you, sorry! Somebody else said thanks to you both. . . borntaskate42. . . maybe it worked for borntaskate? Maybe borntaskate was talking about something else? I really would like an answer to this as I use it all the time and also to my other question in post #430 about the backlight staying on when receiving a txt in standby. Is there a better place to ask that question--should I ask it in the "bugs" thread (keeping in mind I don't want to double post)? Thanks again!

im going to look at the path again thanks for finding the post. it was working for me before my diamond ROM upgrade but ill see what i can do about making another one also you must use a software to reset your phone for it itake effect im not execatly sure if i did that with mine after my auto install but if youdidnt use a software to reset that is more than likely the problem. just let me know if you need one i can provide you with a light utility to do so.

You don't think a soft reset with the power button on top will work? OK. Do you have a utility in mind? Don't worry about uploading anything, but if you could suggest a program that would be great!
