lets say i have a .wav sound in my windows directory named bump.wav, and i use this hack:

Change the Source of the Snap Sound:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Common
String Value: SourceOfSnapSound
Value: \Windows\Snap.wav

lets say i change it to this.....

Change the Source of the Snap Sound:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Common
String Value: SourceOfSnapSound
Value: \Windows\bump.wav

will it change my sound when i take a picuture??? i am using a ppc 6800 if that helps

Just discovered this myself
If you dont use outlook go to
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox/svc/activesync
change usercannotcreate to 0 and it will remove outlook from the account picker

This thread is great- its given me some good tips that i've used. I'm a noob, so be gentle. My question is this:

When I answer my phone or dial a call, the screen automatically goes black. I have to press a button to see the screen. Is there anything I can do to fix that? Thanks

I'm not actually looking to make this disappear... The problem I'm having is that on this screen, underneth the words outlook email I have what seems to be this random "d". I have no idea where it came from... my email address for that account starts with a d but I can't find a registry entry with just a d. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

hack to remove Outlook from the e-mail account list didn't work for me. anyone else have any suggestions?

Hey all, this Thread rulez...:headbang:
But I've got a question related to volume.
When I enable Screen Taps ...(Start/Settings/Sound&Notifications/ScreenTaps/Soft)... if my phone volume is all the way up... The Screen Taps "Soft" still too loud...
Is there a tweak to lower the Soft taps sound even more so, I can keep my phone volume all the way up...??? I like to hear a soft feedback when pressing buttons and what not....

I recently upgraded to JD's GPS Test Rom 2.1 with WM6.1 and since then my HTC keyboard does not recognize the T9 fucntion nor the abc function so everytime I try to type it only gives me numbers. I see the letters on the keys but only the corresponding numbers for the keys are entered. Is there a way to fix this or a cap that I can use to re-install the HTC keyboard?

oooh.. this only removes it from the account picker... not the actual outlook inbox itself... now i'm off to find the regedit to remove it completely! thanks all the same.
