Any good battery tweaks for the Vogue?

does anyone know of a way to make all text on the today screen black?

I have a light background i want to use but my default is white text (htc skin). Also all the skins that come with the touch have white text on the today screen.

Id like to keep the htc screen ideally but would like to use a light background image (bob marley). I know its gota be something simple in the registry.

anything out there that will stop the screen from turning on when you get a txt message?

edit: also a way to make the volume of the phone louder? not the ringtone volume the internal volume

just a little performance tweak i found helpful.

under HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings is the "EnableSound" entry. disabling this (setting the value to 0 - the number zero)really helped the scrolling on my Sprint Vogue to be a lot more smooth and fluid. its amazing how much difference it made.
