i fund this on a other website one is to change the cube and appt to what u want and the other is to change the cube to like a Barrel

The first one is set up for the GSM Touch, and the icons are actually different than what we have in our Touch Cube.

The second one looks way too involved for my 2 day old phone :)

So i downloaded the Cab didnt work as expected but i went in the registry and changed the apps that every botton opens and changed the name to what ever i put it to open so im good for now now i just need to get some icons to change them

yes, give use the reg changes you made. or at least the keys you found. i would like this way better for know. this way we can go back if we have problems.

OK codyppc i went in to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/HTC/Biotouch/APLauncher

There you are going to see folders from 0 to 5 each folder is for each for the the cube 6 botton side

folder 0 - is for the SOFTWARE STORE button
folder 1 - is for the INTERNET EXPLORER botton
fordel 2 - is for the COMM MANAGER botton
folder 3 - is for the IM botton ( this botton i changed to Windows\WLMMessenger.lnk) works fine !
folder 4 - is for the SMS botton
folder 5 - is for the MAILBOX botton

You can also change the apps in the next side of the cube (that has the 3 large buttons) in the registry. I changed the Sprint Music and Sprint TV buttons.

I've been able to change the cube Music setting to point to the HTC Audio Manager that I loaded, but would really like to be able to chage the headphones pointer on the Today screen also. Does anyone have any ideas where we can make these changes?

Can you modify the Sprint cube icons/apps?
 

I know on the GSM Touch there is a program that can be installed which will allow you to modify just about every aspect of the cube. I tried running said application on the Sprint Touch, and I was unable to make any changes to the cube.

If there's one thing I HATE more than anything, it's all the ROM branding that goes into an OEM rom. The GSM cube is pretty much 'vanilla' with the Email/Task/Calendar/etc buttons and a Music/Photo/Video media screen. The Sprint Touch has OnDemand, SprintTV, and whatnot, and I'd prefer to have it the original way.

Anyone had any experience with making the cube 'non-Sprint'?

Yes, they are just image files and shortcuts. You will need to find the appropriate ones in \Windows. Change them to your liking and then copy back.

what all did you change for the Audio manager to work? did you just change the path function?
and if so, could you tell me what the other ones were because i changed all of them to audio manager.lnk and now it's not letting me select it. i know what i did wrong, but i dnt know how to restore it without a hard reset which i dont want to do

okay i think i figured it out, i had to only change the path, and i did change everything, so it messed it up, but i got it back after looking at the other buttons.

okay, i thought i found out what was wrong with my audio manager, but after changing the iconpath, iconplayingpath, and all the other ones back, and just changing the path to audiomanager.lnk, it still doesnt work from my cube, i get this error "the file 'AudioManager.lnk' cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file. what am i doing wrong?

I wish I could just install the GSM touchflo on the touch. I'm tired of playing with the registry. BTW, do you guys get music to play just like the GSM touchflo where you can pause, play... without moving the cube?

Well i noticed that it has 2 programs blocked in a file and its the music and the camera setting i dont know if by deleting the files from in this registry they would work

I have noticed the higher the number the more sensitive it is mine is set to 5500
and its nice dont have to press as hard as before to get things rolling

Nice find. I set mine to 5064 (1000 above stock setting) and it's easier to open.

Try \windows\AudioManager.exe

It's an exe not a lnk file.

BTW. If you want to use PIE favorites, it's .url (I used a PIE favorites link for my Sprint Software Store button.)

Great tips so far, just to be sure I understand, editing the registry entry "iconpath" to point to a the desired icon is all that is needed to change cube icons on the Sprint version? In reading at XDA you need to replace.brn files which it doesn't appear we can do on the Sprint version until we get the rom unlocked.

It works, and the funny thing is when Audiomanager is playing, the cube has all the GSM icons instead of the sprint Icons. Anybody knows how to make audio manager keep playing after the screen goes off? it stops everytime for me.

ok this is easy instead of tapping on the x on the top just hit the end key this should minimize the player but not shut it off

Didn't work. But I found out I was running an old version of slidetounlock software. New one (1.21) works great. So do you have all the cubes completely changed yet?

well not all of it just the one's i wanted to change the other ones or fine just changed the sprint ones

is it possible to replace one of the cube icons to a youtube one and have it directly
go to the site? Has anyone attempted this? I think that would be pretty sweet.

how about instead of doing these single reg edits someone makes a program that lets you customize the cube with easy pointing the registry to the right folder and file? i would makeit but i've never made programs for ppc's is there some sort of developers kit? i've done C++ and visual basic. i know making something simple
like this should be pretty easy...

When posting reg edits for changing the apps on the cube can someone post a step by step in ONE post?

I'm trying to follow how to change the sprint store to Audio Manager but I'm still confused as to changing the path. Editing registry is to risky to randomly throw out bits and pieces of the procedure. I know this forum is ppcGEEKS, but we are not all on the same Geek level...
