I believe I heard about users having a similar issue in the past, but I am not sure. Searching for the term 'lag' did not help me as all I found was users happy about the Touch not being as laggy as the Mogul.

All of the sudden my Sprint Touch has a very annoying lag. For example, phone rings and I click the softkey ANSWER. The softkey looks like it's being clicked on, but kind of freezes in between so you can see it frozen on a different color. The ringtone is still playing, however, even 10-15 seconds have passed since actually clicking the Answer softkey to my phone actually answering the call.

This also happens when minimizing, opening, clicking reply on an SMS or e-mail, switching tabs on the HTC Home plugin... you get the idea.

I don't have much on it: Resco, TouchPal, Delete All/Mark All as Read add-on, Newsbreak, e-Wallet. I think this started when using Windows Live Messenger, then I saw the lag when using the OZ IM app and unsintalled it.

After running SK Tools and clearing almost everything I could, it went back to normal... now, out of the blue, it started again. It makes the phone useless since I can't even answer calls and I have no clue what's causing it.

Any ideas?

Pibe38,

Do you have any software to track what programs are running in the background? It sounds like a program is running and has control of the cpu. It may be the IM program. I'm guessing about that because I don't have it installed. It seems that something is constantly polling either the cpu or ?net which is degrading your speed.

Try to isolate what programs are running at what demand on resources they are using. acbPocketSoft's acbTaskman can help you with this. Hope this helps you out.

I use SK Tools, I tried monitoring CPU usage and look for odd background apps and processes and nothing stood up.

--Battery cover is loose right at the stylus slot; pressing it with my thumb I can see that it is does not fit tightly in that spot

--Sometimes my caller ID doesn't show the name, but a soft reset fixes it

No other complaints. This phone is pretty frikkin' awesome!
