Re: Tools for disassembling touch phones
Thanks for asking, it's a Q that I'd like to see an A for as well.
Some needed tools are easy to find, like the Torx #T5 screwdriver and the jeweler's Phillips #2 screwdriver shown at the top of this pic: But the 2 bottom tools are like nothing I've ever seen or heard of, though they appear to be very handy for phone work. Are they simply called "plastic opening tools" or is there a better name to ID, search for, and buy them? |

Re: Tools for disassembling touch phones
Home Depot, Sears, Lowe's, Radio Shack... etc. You name it.
All you should need is a mini precision screwdriver set. I have one that holds 3 bits in the handle and one on the tip and each is two sided.... (8 screwdrivers in one) cost me less than 10 bucks. p. |

Re: Tools for disassembling touch phones
I think the two bottom ones are for replacing the digitizer. I am on my way out to get that torx #t5 and the jeweler's # 2 screwdriver in a few minutes thanks for the reply. tk45
