Re: Alltel HTC Touch to Metro PCS
Thanks for the reply. I did actually read that article, and it's very helpful, but it doesn't really answer the questions I have asked in this post.

As for the plan choose one that has data included and anything else you want/need. When it comes to ROMs it's all personal taste do some experimenting, but also keep in mind that most are not preconfigured for Metro and will require a carrier cab. |

Re: Alltel HTC Touch to Metro PCS
I agree with whitey10tc.
I think howard forums is probably your best bet for MetroPCS. They have a forum dedicated to that carrier and I believe there are carrier specific ROMs for Metro. I suggest you do a lot of reading over there and ask users over there about what plans they use. I would think gps has been figured out by now. Here is a link to the Metro Forum on Howard Forums: http://howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=335 Good Luck! ![]()

Re: Alltel HTC Touch to Metro PCS
Thanks for your replies. I went to local Metro store today and their computer couldn't see my phone. They sent me to another store, who told me I would have to leave the phone with them until the end of the day. Wow! This is ridiculous!

Re: Alltel HTC Touch to Metro PCS
I just got my Vogue flashed at the local Metro store, and now ActiveSync doesn't work. I would like to unlock the phone, and then flash a custom ROM, but if my PC doesn't recognize the phone....
What can I do to fix this situation? |

Uninstall active sync and reinstall. |

Re: Alltel HTC Touch to Metro PCS
Thanks Whitey. Yes, it did connect before. I should also mention that it's actually Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows 7.
Does that make any difference? |

Re: Alltel HTC Touch to Metro PCS
Yeah...I'm not too worried about the data stuff. But isn't my phone number (ported over from Alltel) programmed in the phone somewhere? I don't see any mention of this on any of the threads.
