Re: *Updated: October 12th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs
Mine stopped working this morning with NFSFANs 6.1 ROM. Been working great for about 6 months. Reinstalled the Bell RUU_Vogue_BM_WWE_3.09.666.1_Radio3.42.50 and everything works. IIRC NFSFAN uses a custom DLL that allows undetected tethering. Could Bell have found a way to detect and block it???

Re: *Updated: October 12th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs
Okay, I tried NFSFAN's ROM again, and after I applied the "dcd Bell Carrier 20081031.cab" my internet is working again. Hopefully this won't be a recurring problem. Rather worries me that I've seen a number of folks with the same issue so close together.

Re: *Updated: October 12th* NFSFAN's Custom WM6.5 ROMs
I was given the solution to the tethering problem, and here it is!
1. Go to Settings, Connections and click on Connections Icon 2. Click on "Manage existing connections" 3. Click on Edit... for the Bell Mobility connection 4. Click Next, Next and then Advanced button 5. Go to the "Servers" tab 6. Change this option : put it to "Use server-assigned addresses" (You can note on a paper your DNS and Alt DNS numbers in case, cause it will be deleted after). 7. click ok. Click Finish. 8. Try to connect. 9. Surf the Internet !!! |
