Hope this helps...

Thanx Lmiller.
I just tried and YES holding button opens showcase.

Re: [ROM][Updated 9/19/09]NagROM[WM6.5.1 Build 23052]

23053 going up now. Enjoy!

In other news, I am also working on V2.8 which will hopefully be out before the weekend. I have a working Custom ROM V1.5 Beta1 (Build 23047) with Mega Manila working great on it (If you want to try it you can DL it here. I just need to rebuild this ROM with 23053 and some other tweaks and you guys should have a nice Mega Manila ROM that is way lighter, faster, and newer than anything else out there.

The base ROMs will still be way way faster and lighter though. Mega Manila takes A LOT of resources...

The Mega ROM is build 23047 and it is still buggy. So be warned.

I also can not load V0.8 (23053). I get as far as the orange Windows wake up screen, I hear the beep to tap screen, but all I see is the black task bar at top that shows date but the orange wake up screen is still there. I have flashed back to stock and tried V0.8 again with the same outcome.

Let it sit on this screen for a min or so. Then Tap the center of the screen and it should recover to the alignment screen.

Have you done a soft reset, I think it will try to reload everything again?
But I could be wrong...:???:

@NagRom
I have heard of this build getting stuck in the boot screen like this.
What is you pp set too?

I have hard rest, flash to stock and then V0.8, and even redownload the ROM with no luck. I have seen were others are having the same issue so I think I will just wait until NagROM has a chance to look into it.

I think i'll wait until 53 will be working.

I don't think there's much change between 49 and 53:scratch:

Re: [ROM][Updated 9/21/09]NagROM[WM6.5.1 Build 23053][V0.8 & V1.6 (V2.8 Coming soon!]

There is not much change between 49 and 53. Just the graphics of the dropdown menu and the fact that you can access it from any screen.

On the issue of not being able to load the ROM, a lot of people are having the same problem. I even had that problem the first 2 times I flashed. I actually rebuilt the ROM and flashed 3 times before it worked. I don't know why this is happening, but I know that the ROM I uploaded to you guys works for me. So, try reflashing some more or go back to an older build. Sorry, don't know what else to tell ya. You know there will be a new build in a few days anyway... :-D

Re: [ROM][Updated 9/21/09]NagROM[WM6.5.1 Build 23053][V0.8 & V1.6 (V2.8 Coming soon!]

Guys, try re-downloading the ROM. I found the problem. Somehow, File Savr still had my old ROM (the one I had problems with) linked (even though I had deleted it) instead of the new one (with no problems). Use the link on the first post to re-download. Flash that and you should be fine. Sorry for the trouble.

Wow guys, I really am a freaking idiot. Even after I caught the link error, I still typed it in wrong here. SO, I have RE-RE-entered the corrected link and NOW everything should be fine. Download and flash the working ROM. I am so sorry for being dumb...

Hello,

I tried out 53 - very interesting the changes. Can you please let me know if there is a reg entry to make to put the owner name on the home page?

I prefer spb pocketplus for my home page vs the new microsoft menu system. I know spb isn't as "cool" as the new home menu but it is a lot more efficient to navigate. I wish MS would just offer the spb interface or something else like it so they might actually have a larger following. I think if MS ever wants to get market share back they should include voice command and something like pocket plus and phone suite.

Thanks

I'm fine with MS interface, the only thing i have a Vogue and new bottom menu takes some realstate away, for an option i'd remove menu or some autohide like in IE.

As promised, V2.8 is going up now. There are still a couple things in Manila not working but they are very minor (like new email account setup, the bluetooth on/off in Comm Manager, etc). If you find any major bugs, let me know. V3.8 will be even more polished and hopefully use the new Manila from the Touch2.

Overall the ROM runs nicely, though not as fast as the stripped down ROM. For all of you who want Mega Manila, you should love it.

Ya, but we don't use cabs for a ROM. I need to get it cooked it and it isn't working right for me right now. I do have the weather on the homescreen working however. You have to have some location aware apps to do it. I dunno if you can with cabs.

nagrom, when I go to the buttons tab, there is no way to assign anything to the buttons. Is there a cab that I need to install. I got the htc end key tab installed, but I was looking for the camera key assingment button? Just loaded it this morning and testing out now, seems to run pretty quick. I just wish there was an X close fix for these new builds.

The buttons issue is a MS thing and will hopefully be resolved in the next build they leak. The X close thing is the way MS intends it to be and you will have to wait for a 3rd party solution. Try using Showcase for now.

Re: [ROM][Updated 9/25/09]NagROM[WM6.5.1 Build 23053][V0.8 & V2.8]

I'll have to wait for the new build then. I use the camera button with press and hold for file explorer a lot. The rom is nice and smooth though. I figured a way around the x button, I just map my left soft key to task manager and close programs that way.
