You don't. You will need to use the task manager or let WM built in memory management take care of it.

I tried out .2 the other day and would like to keep using these later builds, but it looks like SPB Diary doesn't work properly with them (the Calendar view doesn't show appointments). I also tried Pocketbreeze and it didn't seem to function properly either - apparently 6.5 changed how it stores apts in the database? Anyone have an alternative that they use or are people just using the new titanium thing instead? My phone is a pda first so I have to be able to see my tasks and calendar events for a day when I look at it and I haven't found a good way to do it on 6.5+ :(

Nothing wrong with this ROM in particular - thanks for the work on it either way :)

NN, just got done trying out the new rom and definatly some things i love is the sharpness of the icons within the start menu and the clearity of the contact/set/windows start button throughout the menus. The only thing that really was getting me a bit was the blurryness of the titianium menu. That and the keyboard but it is a bare bone rom from what i have read in the thread. You definatly are doing good to start the ROMs and ill definatly be looking forward to more ROMs from ya in the future.

I do this several different ways. One way is to use just the titanium plugin which shows you the next 2 days appointments. This works great. If I want to see more than that, I use today agenda with titanium or TFlo on 2nd Today or TFloDetatcher.

It was something MS screwed up in 23037 and then fixed in 23041. I'm not sure what, but when 23041 was leaked, we were able to use the volume buttons again.

Make sure you have ClearType enabled (Start>Settings>System>Screen>ClearType).

I need some NON-SPRINT people to test out a new ROM. I am working on the Custom ROM and am making it a generic carrier ROM. But, as I only have Sprint, I need some other people to test it and make sure it works on other carriers before I continue work on it. So, I will link it here along with the carrier CABs.

Please download it and your appropriate CAB and then install and test it. Please let me know if it works. Please test making/recieving calls, and accessing the internet. Then please let me know what your results are. Please let me know who your carrier is when you give me the feedback.

VZW works fine. I was able to make and receive calls and also the internet works with the provisioning cab.

Thanks much for testing it. I'll get to working on assembling the Custom ROM soon then (that was my last hurdle).


In other news build 23045 has been leaked and I am working on getting that out ASAP too. So custom ROM is back on hold. Sorry, I warned that the latest and greatest is priority over custom :cool:

How is it that 23045 is a newer build than 23409? I thought the build #s were progressive, at least they have been so far...

On a side note your 409 build is really cool! I enjoyed playing with it however a few of my programs are not compatible:

No, they are not progressive. There are 3 concurent build lines. The 21 series, the 230 series, and the 234 series. The 21 series are the stable WM6.5 builds that will be released on October 6th. The 230 series are the latest WM6.5.1 builds from the COM3 line that have the latest graphical changes, and the 234 series are the COM4 series of WM6.5.1 that lag behind a bit sometimes on the latest stuff.

23409 is gone. We moved on to 23045 and soon 23047. 23047 definitely won't be out tonight. JooJoo hasn't posted the new files for us yet. I'm trying to learn how to do it myself, but my brain can only hold so much at a time...

I'm running 23045 right now and it is nice. Prolly use it for a day lol!

230xx is the COM3 tree which has the newer GUI enhancements of 6.5.1 that then get ported up to the official COM4 tree (234xx) for 6.5.1. Neither and both can be newer and older depending on which one has had the latest work done on it.

If you read the first page of this thread that has ALL of the info, you will see that there is no TouchFlo. These are bare, windows 6.5.1 only ROMs.

I went up with 23409 for 2 days now, i'm too lazy to change it to 045 for now, i'll wait your 047. By tweaking it a bit you can have a pretty stable device. I don't really miss the camera for now, we'll see how things go.

It will happen. I just need some time to get a custom build done. I work full time and have a wife and kid and they all take priority over my ROMs :-) Also, the new builds take priority for me too, because I like the latest builds rather than custom builds (as was said, anyone can customize their ROM). So, I have 5 days of time off coming up, so I should be able to make a custom ROM while keeping up with any new builds that are leaked.

Also, I just got home from work (I work late), got done with dinner, and I am working on 23047 but I doubt it will be out before midnight PST. Sorry guys. I have a lot going on and I have to figure out what went wrong this morning and then fix it and rebuild. Just cross your fingers that it comes out tonight and not tomorrow night...

Great staff,
One thing is annoying me are BIG sub-menus. Taking entire screen, need to scroll a lot to get to selections you need. Any one knows registry to tweak? Or other program? Specially in email or IE.

Nope. This is how MS wants them. They may get more refined but they are here to stay. If you don't like them you will have to go back to 218xx. That is the newest stuff that doesn't have new UI.
