Re: [Updated 7/9/09] SYS 23004 WM6.5 for PPC Kitchen

Thanks for your quick response.

I am sorry I don't know what Porting the XIP means. I can place the various parts properly in the kitchen, but I don't know how to create the parts.

I am running 21501 on my Apache now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

23004 and XIP 3.14 for Vogue

Well I took my newly re-built Vogue out for a test spin last night and the results are quite positive.

I took my wife and in-laws to a play so got a chance to use most facets of the Vogue, including GPS navigation. After 5 hours of being out and about the Vogue still had 92% of battery life. This is in comparison to 80% under 3.09 XIP. So definitely something has changed to allow for better battery life. Available memory is much better under 23004 than 23001 (66 meg vs 40 meg), so I suspect the memory leak is either slowed or fixed.

All in all a snappier Vogue. I do have my pagepool set at 24.

Re: [Updated 7/9/09] SYS 23004 WM6.5 for PPC Kitchen

Anybody have Opera 9.5 working on this 23004 SYS? Mine installs but is very very slow and real unresponsive?? I have tried multiple different builds of 9.5 and tried 9.7 as well with no luck

Second thing... When i updated the kitchen with the Drivers_Vogue.rar in this sys, after the build i noticed that the scrolling in file explorer and file commander went back to being similar to the 6.1 days. Scrolling was still smooth like 6.5 in Titanium and start menu but not in other areas. So i went and re-downloaded Driver_Vogue.rar from the manual downloads at ppckitchen, updated my kitchen again, re-built and scrolling was all good for all programs ... Whosdaman, that sound normal to you?

Re: [Updated 7/9/09] SYS 23004 WM6.5 for PPC Kitchen

quick question: i finally cooked my own Rom last night and it was great, but the icons in start menu were a little bigger and some stock icons don't have that many pixels so, how or what setting do you use in your kitchen to get this icons back to the normal size?

thanks

That maybe, the Drivers come straight from the Verizon Official ROM so everyone would have the most up to date programs

You you know what the dll that controls it, i will gladly switch it out

Re: [Updated 7/9/09] SYS 23004 WM6.5 for PPC Kitchen

Well,

Not exactly sure, i just left town for a few days but when i get home i could replace the Drivers_Vogue.rar again in my kitchen and then write down all the overwrite prompts... when i switched back to the ppckitchen version of Drivers_Vogue.rar it didn't do all the overwriting.

If i remember correctly it was a bunch of ... eT9 & touchinput.dll ... something like that and it was probably in the range of 20 or so files.

Any luck on getting a fast, stable version of Opera 9.5 on this SYS? If so, what build are you using?

Thanks

Will this work with Opera 9.7?

Does anyone know where the theme gets selected? I have tried to override it, but each time I get Classic Blue.
