2. I don't follow what "the crowd says", what makes them correct??? My clean rom is generic, so it can be used for all carriers, why leave the label as Sprint PCS? Don't get hung up on a label.

you could try running \windows\PPST_080516_7500_SPCS_2.04.sa.CAB, then \windows\PPST.exe

you can also follow the steps to flash my new clean rom based on the Bell rom....up a few posts....I'm on Sprint & it's running great.

Excellent news - I had already run 3.03.04 over the default Bell radio and GPS was bang on. 6 Sats in the house with Google Maps...crazy. Before I couldn't even get one. Garmin full strength in the house... wow

Thinking about it....This whole thing started because "The Bubble" said "Phone as Modem"....What was the fix? To change what the bubble said.... I feel like a genuine grade "A" sucker... That will work as soon as they get them there video drivers working as well... No names, but you all shouldn't believe someone just because they can make a rom with the ppckitchen... (ducking whew-hoo!)

adding/edit: OMJ has the roms I always come back to. I can make my own with the kitchen but they never seem as solid. Thanks for your efforts OMJ. They are appreciated.

I don't really care what it says, I just don't want to be hit with tethering charges. So I was curious, that's all

I used the official rom for several weeks without any problems. GPS and internet working fine. I then ran the phone unlocker and flashed your rom. Once I flashed your rom the internet stopped working.

I'm now flashing back to the sprint rom and will then try your rom again.

maybe you could put them in a separate folder?

you could try running \windows\PPST_080516_7500_SPCS_2.04.sa.CAB, then \windows\PPST.exe

none of these files are in my windows folder.

What's the difference between the Bell clean rom and your other clean rom? Shouldn't they be almost identical since you got rid of all the preloaded crap?
