By 'blurred' do you mean cut off?

use pim backup, it will let you backup all your contacts to your memory card, and also all your text and everything, and the best part is that it is a small program.

Re: UPDATED 10-3-08 Manilla 2D Alltel 6.1

yes wordie, cut off exactly. i am able to view only my conacts VERY bottom part of their name, which is indeed not enough to tell who it is. I tried not running the spbBackup.exe to copy contacts back over. I made one test call and it worked as normal./.damn this is going to suck to re enter all my contacts

Let me guess you have SPB avatars associated with some of your contacts?

Here is how you fix...
  • Sync your phone with Outlook
  • From within Outlook edit any contact with a photo associated (for good measure remove them all for now)
  • Hard Reset your phone (you can try just deleting your contacts via the phone if you like but I'm a safer is better than sorry guy)
  • Import contacts from Outlook to phone
  • Now you can replace photos (note I said photos and not SPB avatars or other animations

I'm not sure exactly why those images associated with contacts cause the problem but they do-- I had this trouble for YEARS (seriously) and couldn't find a solution... so I am happy to share the fix with you.

Should be noted that if you import a a PIM Backup and THEN sync with outlook you'll get dupes.

That is very true, I have had that problem in the past, but it does help if you are away from your computer.

On a different note, I am adding the final touchs to the updates. Should be up by 9AM.

Re: UPDATED 10-3-08 Manilla 2D Alltel 6.1

the update is really nothing major. I based it off the offical alltel rom. I went back to the old MMS app, with SMS and MMS in seperate folders.

I added a new Long press endkey. However one problem with it is that it will not disconnect data.

Added a program called setting+. It allows you to turn on or off threaded sms. it allows for many other things has well.

Added new weather icons and a second tab for weather.

Changed a startup Icon on Opera. It is nothing to big, so dont expect to much, I also made an HTC classic. I will update first 2 post now, they should be uploaded.

Re: UPDATED 10-21-08 Manilla 2D Alltel 6.1

Thanks for all your work on this, quick question though. Is there a way we can change back to the old verizon startup screen and verizon menus and what not instead of the alltel? I know this is trivial, but I was just wondering
