And I agree with Yearn, I really liked the Messaging on 10/21. How's the newer version coming along Con?

Something Strange is going on... I flashed beck to the 10/21 build and got my data back but only sometimes.... It was real flaky take a long time to connect and sometimes it would time out and not connect at all.

So I flashed back to the Stock 6.1 from Alltel (BTW after using Con's ROM Stock SUCKS!!!) But I have NO data at all??

I did a hard reset after the flash and ran the *228 option 3 twice..

Any Ideas?

Hmmmm.. Got a phone call and did a soft reset now it is back to working good.................. Sorry for the false alarm

A little more info on the data problems I am seeing. I was running the 10/21 rom then flashed the official Alltel 6.1 rom then cons latest from Friday. Data just would not work so, I flashed back to the 10/21 rom. Now data works but drops to 1x as soon as it connects. Very slow. My radio is 3.42.30. How is it going for everybody else having data problems?

first thing I would do is re flash the 10-21 rom. I would personally change the pagepool to 24 before I flashed cause I think it runs much smoother. after the flash power down phone and remove battery for 3 minutes. then hard reset. that's how I do all my flashs and never have any trouble.

I just went back to the alltel rom with a 3.37.10 radio and am still having the same problem. Alltel tech says my phone will not authenticate on the EVDO network but will on the 1x. They said if a hard reset didn't fix it I would need to get a replacement phone. Hard reset didn't fix it. I am flashing back to the Alltel 6.1 rom to see if that corrects this problem.

I believe I am is the same boat as you are... As soon as I start using data I go to 1X service....

Do I remember correctly that you are in KS? I am in Wichita. I have loaded Alltel's 6.1 ROM, still dropping to 1x, and am going to stop by the shop on my way home. I will let you know what they say.

Yep I am in Ks to.. Yeah let me know and good luck. Not to Sure what the tech's will say if they see the Coke 2.31 in the Bootkoader screen.

Con, Love to hear if you have any input on this issue.

They are going to XBM my phone. They couldn't come up with anything to do since it already had the newest Alltel 6.1 ROM. They never look at the boot loader, at least when I have had a phone in for trouble... I honestly think the alltel ROM messed something up. It worked fine until I loaded it Sat. before putting on Con's new rom...
