Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

I've run the upgrade and GPS is working fine and even though I'm in a marginal area for Sprint my speed is definitely running between 200-300kbs faster than it did before.

Earlier someone mentioned using TomTom 6 maps but when I went to the tomtom website it asks for what device you're using in order to select and buy the maps. What device do I need to enter there in order to make sure that I get the right maps for the Touch? TIA

installed and it works great so far. GPS is superb! I didn't install the A-GPS hack, is it necessary? I am getting locks no problem. Since it was finally working right I installed IGO 8 and it totally blows sprints Telenav out of the water!

So far I am happy......

I've made sure to set the right port and speed.

Haha, you got a free "thanks" cuz I meant to hit "quote".
Anyways, to answer your question, yes iGO8 works.
You still need a primer to run iGO8. I had a cab for AstroGPSLauncher.
Then I made a shortcut for iGO8 that runs AstroGPSLauncher and then turns on iGO8. This is the same setup that I used from the kitchen.
Anyways, I tested it this morning. Got a lock in under 15secs. 8 Satellites.

The only gripe I have with the new ROM is that everytime I open a text message the keyboard pops up..Is it happening to everyone else or just me..?

So basically most of the problems ppl are experiencing is due to customization not completing immediately after the update and performing a hard reset and giving it a chance to run again fixes it all.

Hello friends, I have an issue please let me know if this is already posted and if this has happened to anybody else. I have updated to the new rom yet I missed the applications I had in the latest Vogue Kitchen so when I tried to go back to it, the rom updates to 100% but then gives me the error that the rom is corrupted so I had to load the new stock rom again. Please if there is a way back to the kitchen please let me know. Thanks

Grrrr, i want to flash sooo bad. but i cant have anything happen to my cell. its my only way of communicating, and my internet source. And seeing two posters that also reside in Las Vegas talking up the gps and what not is helping... ](*,)

Is there anyway, or chance that i could put this rom on a Sprint Apache?

It's always a good idea to do an extra hard-reset after you load a new rom. Just to be sure no bugs happened the first time it was loaded.
Doesn't make sense to me why it helps, but everytime I have issues w/ a new rom, I can usually correct it w/ a hard-reset.
Now, everytime I install a new rom, I hard-reset once after setup just to avoid the hassle of needing to do it later.
