Accurate or not, who knows? Figured it was worth pointing out though.

i think he means drivers as in the system drivers like usb, etc etc not 3d to update the kitchen with these from the new ROM.

Gotcha.

Love the new start up animation. It's sick compared to the old "Rated for SprintSpeed" animation.

It is WM6.1 for anyone wondering.

This will not brick your phone. This is an official Firmware update from Sprint themselves. DCD just got his hands on it a little pre-maturely thats all.

You'll like it. It's really nice. Now if only customization didn't get rid of the RED icons on the Sprint Plugin under the HTC HOME.....

updating too. id still trust the official update in terms of better radio and gps more than the put together ROMs so far. Im sure some of the gps drivers and stuff have been updated to perform better

Im just tired of installing all my programs/regedits over and over!

FYI 115.55mb ROM 72.43 RAM off fresh install. Not too shabby actually

newer PRI too 2.04_003

GPS with garmin XT acquired almost INSTANTLY inside

I have had similar GPS Results. Google Maps, Sprint Telenav, and TomTom 6 all locked almost instantly INSIDE my apartment.

As long as you run the Vogue 2.31.coke unlocker first you should be fine. It may be possible to upgrade from the leaked ROM directly but I wouldn't take any chances. Run the unlocker then flash this ROM.

now the debate install all my programs all overor wait for custom ROMs

i deleted out sprint nav and all the fluff stock stuff out of /program files and /my documents, and have 125mb free. seems pretty fast though....dunno if i wanna stay stock or wait for custom ROMs to update...

i think im staying stock to keep all the good stuff like FAST gps and such. Doesnt seem slower than the other diamond ripped 6.1 builds

I thought the same thing and I have noticed that the ROM is almost as, if not, as fast as any and all of those Diamond rips.

I had the "Almost Offical" custom rom and installed the new offical rom direct w/o any other steps or files and it worked perfectly. Took about 10 minutes and the first boot takes time so dont freak out, just be patient, it looks sometimes that it has locked. Anybody know if the sprint customizations can just be stopped with out any issue?

yeh im staying stock, this rom seems snappy as is and GPs is simply awsome now. Plus im sure its much more stable

The radio has updated ... 3.37.15 to 3.42.30

The rom has updated ... 3.02 to 3.03

The OS / SYS has NOT updated ... remains at 5.2.19208

yes i can read. and as i said the RUU updater wont recognize your device because its not a sprint device to upgrade ROMs so the radio wont update, nothing will until someone pulls it apart for the radio

Correct. Other carriers other than Sprint CAN flash this ROM to get the radio much the same way everyone was flashing the Alltel ROM however exercise extreme caution that you do NOT allow customization to run unless you are on Sprint.

I've read somewhere that there was a problem for some people in previous WM6.1 ROM's that the internet sharing connection was flawed when upgrading. Under this "Official" ROM, is anyone able to tether and connect to the internet via Internet Sharing when "Sprint PCS" is selected as the network connection or is a registry tweak needed?

i have sprint so I dunno about another carrier, was just trying to answer a question. if u dont agree then why bother asking for anyone elses opinion? try it itll either go through or not even recognize the device. It wont go halfway through and brick its either all or nothing with an official updater
