Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
Just updated with the new ROM. I do not know if I am doing something wrong but with google maps when I try to use my location it comes up with an error saying "your handset doesn't seem to be compatible with My Location (beta) feature". Am I doing something wrong? I just wanted to try out the GPS with this new rom.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
it says that normally its looking for triangulation first for non-gps devices. jsut right softkey and click use gps
|
Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
Should I have the GPS settings set by windows or set manually? when I click on use GPS is just stays on seeking GPS satellites.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
I sure hope this fixes the SD card issue. I'm getting frustrated with having to keep it backed up too just in case of failure.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
So this is the "official" release? I'm running the leaked ROM and I didn't have to unlock for that one, is it the same for this one?

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
So for people who have flashed to the previous leaked ROM running 3.37.15 Radio and then updated to a cooked ROM can we just run this new official ROM exe and let it take it's course or is there something special we have todo?
|
Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
so does anyone notice a difference between the leaked rom and this one released? if so can you point them out? Just wondering if its worth flashing all over again. I found the leaked rom very stable.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
I just flashed to this new ROM to get the new radio and PRI. I would like to flash vetvito's rom and was wondering if I need to use the unlocker tools again. This thing new ROM is nice and like the way it performs but I got used to the customizations of Vetvito's Rom.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
You should go into the camera-bootloader screen and see if it says coke-2.31 (double-check that number, its whatever his latest unlocker is labeled)

new PRI new ROM version same 6.1 build GPS is much quicker to acquire satellites new ROM seems as fast as any of the cooked ones or Diamond builds |
Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
I have no clue how to do this because I am just a ROM thief, I dont know how to do any of this BUT.... The Red icons (that I think are pretty bad ***) are just the icons that are on the newest version of Verizons Touch (Their white one, not sure if they have another) I just sold my buddy one and I like the icons too. So i think that might make it easier then, but what do I know.
And the screen Splash is the same thing the instinct uses when it loads. Just some information that I actually knew. |
Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
thanks for the tip Red49er. I just checked it out and it still got the latest version of coke's unlocker.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
My apologies for the possible repetition, but I'm still not entirely clear on this. I just updated to the leaked ROM the other day using the unlocker. Do I need to do ANYTHING prior to installing the official update? Or just connect my phone to my PC and run the EXE file?

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
does it have opera and the full Qwerty keyboard?

If I have the "Almost OEM" ROM, should I even bother installing this? Any noticeable differences?

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
I'm new to WM and upgrading ROMs... my Touch has the stock ROM. I run Sprite Backup every night. After upgrading the ROM should I restore from Sprite Backup or would it be better to install everything fresh?
Also with backed up text messages... will the phone thread them? Or should I start over with those as well? Thanks in advance for helping a noob! |

Since this is an Official Release, you do not need to do anything special to flash this ROM. Just run the exe(as admin if you have Vista). You can even do this without unlocking if Sprint is your carrier. |
Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
Im having a weird problem.. i installed the rom and everything works great.. cept when i soft reset it keeps asking me to align the screen and soforth on every reset... time for a hard reset allready? ofcourse i flashed over from a custom rom and whatnot... no idea if that has anything todo with it

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
I don't have a chance to flash the new ROM, but could someone take a pic of the new boot screen?

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD
Anyone tried no2chem's battery thing (the 1% incriment one) on this ROM yet? I'm not too wild about trying it, as I just got everything set back up, so maybe someone who just flashed or who has tried it already, can chime in.
Thanks. |

I really liked many of your customizations and has been my personal favorite customized rom on the touch. Do you have any of the customizations in cab form for easy installations? |
