press and hold the red and green buttons on the front of the phone and then stick your stylus into the small reset hole on the bottom of the phone.

Let the phone boot and as before, allow customizations to run.

If, for some reason, PPST.exe was corrupted, this will restore the file.

I've done all of that a couple of times. I guess either my 3.49 download was corrupted or, MORE LIKELY, I'm doing something wrong trying to get PPST to run. Is there something to do besides navigate to it via file explorer and then tapping on it or highlighting it and pressing the center of the multi-direction switch?

Just to be absolutely certain, should I have allowed the customizations to occur the first time through? If so, what does running PPST again do?

Also, like another member, my Sprint Navigation won't let me log-in. However, the whole reason I've spent 30 hours acquiring and installing Garmin plus the time on the leak is to eliminate my need for that Sprint service.

Thanks!!

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

epst stopped working for me after i ran ppst. has anyone else had this problem?

i was running a kitchen rom when i installed the cab from here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=139

installed fine, ran the ppst.exe. gps is amazing now, but when i try running epst from either the windows directory or ##778#, it starts coming up, but closes before it fully loads the page. all i see for a split second is part of a white page with a green radio button.

reflashed the kitchen rom, same thing. any ideas? maybe try flashing the leaked rom again?

edit: flashed the leaked rom again and all is well
edit #2: reflashed kitchen rom, problem started again :/
edit #3: it was actually a problem with the kitchen. most recent update will fix it. weird, couldve sworn that it was working before i ran the ppst. oh well...

There is an installer (CAB) for Altell and one for Sprint, so as long you were with one of those carriers, I can't think of a reason NOT to try it. Unless, everything is working perfectly for you, in which case, why mess with a good thing.

I installed the leaked ROM, 3.49. I allowed customizations to run. I did see ppst run in the process.

I can find the ppst file in the \windows directory, but nothing happens when I click on it, highlight and press the middle key, or yell at it to do something.
3.49, isn't that for the Mogul? You'd not need to run what's suggested here, since it's for the Touch. Mogul has a perfectly working GPS.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I am on Sprint. Will there be any benefit for me if I update to the latest Leaked ROM/Radio and run PST.exe and then flash back to an the GPS test ROM, which is based off the Alltel release?
