Please don't laugh - but I'm trying to understand what OEM means in this circumstance.
Upon googling it, the acronym was explained as: original equipment manufacturer.
Now I'm really stumped on how to understand it...

It goes back a long ways. When you decompile a ROM such as the official Sprint ROM of the Diamond ROM, all of the special apps from that ROM such as the action screen from the Touch Dual or the MP3 trimmer from the Diamond all go into an OEM folder. Those OEMs can be cooked into custom ROMs.

So when we say that we're making "OEM's", we really mean that we're creating a file structure that when cooked, works as if it were installed. Just like the OEM apps that come in an Official ROM.

There are two hooks that windows mobile calls when instlling a cab. One available at pre-install, and one available at post-install. Spb uses these to the max and their .cab files are quite intense. The best way to do these is to install them to a clean rom, then copy that info to an OEM. Intense and time consuming because if you don't copy all the pieces, it won't work. Therefore Spb programs are best installed via User Customization. I still install Time, weather, and Phonesuite this way....

And Opera is as notorious as Windows for it's buggy-ness. I am not sure why it won't launch. Do they have a version in the kitchen? I'll take a look at it later...

Any chance of putting NueTools into a "Megapack" of some kind? I'm not figuring out how to cook them in a kitchen so they all go into their own folder

Sure, I don't use the nuetools. Which ones do you want and I assume they are located in ppcgeeks_oem.rar?
