On a a ROM cooked from the Kitchen I had my phone screen always turning off after 4 minutes regardless of settings.

Someone here gave me a fix which worked.

Same thing is happening to me on OMJ's ROM. Didn't happen on my kitchen ROM, or the leaked Sprint... hrm

Also, has anyone figured out the solution to keeping GPS from going inactive in this ROM? I know I didn't have this problem with other ROMs... Just curious...

Also, does anyone use GPSMODE=4 anymore? I am curious as to what this really does... They claim that mode4 does a hybrid mode, but I never really noticed a difference.

I don't think I have ever seen my Vogue use AGPS, I never get a position without satellite locks...

Here is a new one, problem that is. Trying the latest OMJ Sprint Custom and when I touch the "Start" area to the right of the menu icon on the top left of the screen, that menu opens distorted and causes the phone to reboot or in a couple of test tries it launched the active sync app and then rebooted. If I tap or touch the icon menu that one works just fine. Any ideas would be great.

Hrm, is it just me, or is the phone application not running in the background when you come back from a soft-reset?

I hit the physical green phone button, and nothing happens... If I manually start the phone application, then it all works fine from that point on. I can then bring it back just by hitting the physical button.

Anyone know how to change this?

Ok maybe someone can help me out. I have the sprint touch and i have read the instructions carefully. I installed the rom to upgrade the radio. It went fine and is working. I am now trying to install the OJM.WM6.1.GPS.SPRINT.CUSTOM.v2.exe file and when i run the ROM update utility it begins fine and when i get the color bars on my phone right before it goes to the progress bar the computer says the usb isnt recognized. Has anyone else had this problem? If i take the battery out and put it back in it runs fine. I should mention i am running XP and it is a sprint touch. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you

This worked, thanks. Had to reset the device in order to have the setting take effect. I set BattSuspendTimeout=180, now if I change in the Control Panel's backlight settings to, say 60, the screen will partially dim after a minute and turn off after 3 minutes. Meaning there is no way to revert to shorter backlight times after using a reader program without reset.

When I flash OMJ roms (I've flashed a few) I hear my usb disconnect but then after a few it reconnects. To me it seems like there is a delay between the color bars and the progress bars during the flash process. Just about the time I think something is wrong the progress bar starts to move and I have a successful flash.

Are you unplugging your phone at that point? Have you had a successful flash on your phone?

I think I have found a workaround for the Verizon ICS: I did the following:
1. Updated ROM to Sprint 3.02 to upgrade the Radio
2. Created a kitchen thanks to OMJ's directions on page 1 and took the OperatorPKG under OEM from the Alltel ROM and replaced the same package from the Sprint ROM.
3. Rebuilt the ROM without adding anything to it and then reflashed.

So far everything seems to be working fine. Radio 37.15 and Internet Sharing is working as I am writing.

I figured it had to be something with the Sprint networking config.

Hope this helps someone out there.

I hear the usb sound like it disconnects and then i get the popup saying usb malfunctioned or something and it does go to the d/l bar but stays at 0% for a little then says it didnt work. Ive restarted the pc and cant think of what else it can be. The radio update worked just fine but now i cant get these to work i tried both of them. At least the phones not bricked. And GPS is working lol. But id like to install OMJ's and get it running like it should be.

I'm really not sure how toinstall this ROM. I installed the radio, but when I try to run this exe it just wants to unzip them somewhere. Can someone walk me through installing this custom ROM please?
