PPCGeeks - OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/29/08

I am planning on doing this rom update, just to get the GPS. I have a few questions though. I am not really a stranger to doing this, as I did it many times with my xv6700, but the stock xv6900 has been REALLY stable.

1) If the flash is done right has anyone noticed stability differences?
2) Is the OMJ Verizon OEM rom basically the same set of applications as what was shipped with the original xv6900? I dont want to go through trying to find stuff like touchflo htc home, etc.

Two words. Do it!
It's very stable and has everything and more of what the original stock ROM had. GPS works great and Threaded SMS is a must.
Or you can wait for our friend OMJ to put out a meaty, well thought out, customized ROM.
I wouldn't hesitate.

Amen to that, I like the Official ROM but don't use half the stuff in it. I'll look forward to a custom from the Official release.

I'll second that...I am eagerly awaiting a ROM just like his previous Sprint Custom ROM based on the new upgrade. I am SO there.... ;)

Just to confirm for someone new to this. This is the Vogue radio and not the Titan. I know Vogue is in the name but I am not running Tital and just want to make sure the radio upgrade will work unless it doesn't matter what you're currently running anyway.

Edit: I just tried it and it worked after I read it overwrites whatever you got.

Thirded! Can't wait for OMJ's new rom... I've tried 10 of them, but I always come back to OMJ's.. tho he needs to update his videosites.htm file with the porn sites too like "Almost OEM" did :P

I have to concur. OMj's rom is awesome with great programs. The release rom is def. faster when tethered. Hope OMJ can provide the best of both. Spped and functionality.
