I was gonna do up another look at the oem tonight for TP3. (with a little more brainpower now...) It will retain the directory structure of the original cab and only be for qvga. Thus allowing the skins to be installed. It will be up to omj to update the rom to v2.1. I've already disected it, I just have to make it so it will move the files to where they should be in the initflashfiles.

I uploaded the Unlocker and the did the 6.1 upgrade and now my Touch is stuck at the screen with "PPCGeeks and PPCKitchen.org present" with the chef in the lower left corner. I guess my first question is this now a brick? If not what are my options.

The phone is a Sprint phone.

What radio version is loaded? You need 3.xx. Which unlocker? If you have unlocker .40 then load 2.31 and reboot. Otherwise...

1) Take the battery out for 10 sec.
2) Do a hard reset (Green + Red button + reset button)

If that doesn't fix it you can enter the bootloader and reflash:
Power + Camera button + Resest

Just wanted to thank OMJ for getting everything working right. It took a little bit to get it (gps) to work, but when it does it is sweet. Thanks again.

Thanks again OMJ, GPS works everytime for me. To be sure, before i want to use telenav, i soft reset my phone and then go into google maps and hit "use gps." I generally have to wait about 30-60 seconds, then ive got a lock, i go into telenav and its ready to go. Never had a problem. Note that i have not tweaked the GPS in anyway since installing the Altell ROM, i didnt add in any GPS viewer and did not install any GPS .dll files.

One question about this ROM... what happened to Long Press End Key? I can't figure out how to get my end key to toggle vibrate/ring.

Can anyone confirm that this works? I thought OMJ said that we had to re-install sprint music for it to work.

Speaking of which, can anyone post the cab files for sprint music and sprint tv? Not that i ever use either much, but it would be nice for them to work on the plugin. I cant do a search for sprint tv because "tv" is only 2 letters (apparently search requires a 3 letter minimum).

OK, i made sure my location was turned on, the comm is set to 4 Baud rate is 4800. And still no GPS. Please HELP

So what is this, just luck of the draw? I did the altell radio (3.37) install, then flashed this ROM. That's it. Then i soft reset my phone, went directly into multimedia and opened google maps, hit "Use GPS" put the phone in a good reception area near my window... and voila, i always get a lock within a minute. I didnt adjust any settings or install any .dll's or gps viewers (except for the cooked-in GPS Today, which i haven't touched).

Quick Edit: Have we definitively found a way to get rid of those annoying clocknot.exe errors?

Here is a link to the one I labored on with the Dreamskin (default) Built-in. Then you can skin it! The rom will have to be re-touched...

I like this rom so far and i have tried some other rev a GPS 6.1 roms, but I have two concerns. One the speeds i get with this rom on sprint is nowhere near the speeds i got with other rev a roms. Two and this is minor, is anyone having the problem when I close a program down the dialer pops up. Cant figure out how to stop it and its getting annoying
