everything is awesome with this ROM.
the functions, the text msg, phone, etc...
WAY better than the stock ROM.

but along with others the GPS is flaky.
any fix to this? I tried to download and install the two files OMJ told us to i think on page 11.

great ROM again by the way!!! awesome!!!

You can try the GPS drivers I have updated here in this thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25407, hgray has created a cab for me as well which will install and start the devices and service as well. The link to his cab is within the post as well. People have stated they are getting better result, but it is still in testing.

Here's a weird one that I just noticed. When I've got GPS working and run Garmin XT, as soon as I open a map, it changes the time and date on my device. I have no idea if it is the ROM or Garmin.

Mine says the same thing. Is the rev-a disabled by default or is it just not available? I'm in San Francisco.

Most of the time I have no problem getting GPS to lock onto the Sats. Sometimes I have to swap between GPSToday095 and GPSviewer to prime the system. And then sometimes a soft reset helps a lot... not sure why.
This is the best ROM I've used.

REV A showing as disabled doesnt mean it's really disabled....the titan had the same thing when they got the leak, I'm not sure if the titan still shows disabled now that they have the official rom, but thins is normal.


btw....I'll be cooking a new rom for sprint only in my kitchen, not the ppcgeeks kitchen, it will just have some minor fixes & adjustments.

Also anyway to include the HTC keyboard with 2 letters on every key? I don't quite know what that one is called so I haven't been able to find a cab.

lol hey yall i think i found a minor breakthrough with the gps, lol.. so you know how the gps usually works at first and then stops working later on? well what i did was instead of closing the gps viewer application, i jus left the freaking thing running, and it never loses the position fix. its been running fine since last night. so im guessing if you never close the gsp viewer, or if you do soft reset, immediately start it up and keep it on, you will have your gps.. jus remember that your battery might suffer a little from this.. but hey, you cant have your cake and eat it too lol.. most other cant get it going after the first few hours.. anyway post back and let me know if this works for you all as well

Do you have the HTC Keyboard installed at all?
With the stock ROM I noticed that in some applications I would only ever get the HTC Keypad even when the Keyboard popped up (i.e. could only type numbers into password fields).
After installing OMJs ROM I installed the cab file for the HTC Keyboard & Keypad conveniently located in OMJs ftp section ***here***.


OMJ, There is one other thing I have been missing... When I send a text message it doesn't do look ahead as i type in the letters/numbers for the recipient... Maybe just a reg edit??
