In your settings>system menu,(where the sounds and settings are) go to the external GPS program. Make sure the first tab says GPS program port com4. the hardware tab should be GPS hardware port set to "none" and baud rate of 4800. Make sure that location settings are set to "on". Start Gpsviewer, set it to com4, and baud rate of 4800. click "open gps" and click on cold start, wait about a minute, and then go and start google maps or whatever program, and click on use gps, and you should get a lock, as Gpsviewer will blow that GPS port wide open for use.

This is what i did, and it worked perfect. i have no problems having to start GPSviewer first, cuz it works, and its neat to see the satelitte map.

Make sure you close the GPS in Gpsviewer when youre done or it will keep the port wide open

Done all of that 100 times. I think GPS just hates me.

I use sprint and I can't use my phone with the towers at work. Can I do something in EPST to fix it? I tried to get my number with getspc. The code is invalid. Kinda freaking out!

Give us more info, what have you done so far, how did you flash, have you updated the PRL, what carrier

I did all the stuff for unlocking, radio upgrades.
Flashed the Alltel's, JD's, then your's

that's it.

PRL? I need sprint Not sure what you mean. I learn fast though.

Everything works at home. I didn't have to do anything to make GPS work or to get on the net.

Here at work my phone can't call or get data. I did a hard reset; no help. When I make calls I get the funky Verizon message to dial #8899 for more help. My phone is sprint though.

Hope this clears the fog.

i got a lock with Google maps in less than a minute in my bedroom - 7 sats

After your initial ROM upgrade (unlocker, flash.. blah blah blah), you'll probably have to have your phone reactivated through CSR. Just play dumb.

Love this ROM! One minor annoyance...used to be just 10 digits would display, with this ROM a 1 is before all of the numbers when I dial. I'm guessing this is because it was built as a Canadian based ROM. Anybody know the regedit that needs to be done?
