Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

I started a new topic on this here
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25903

seeing if any of you who've tried ghetto's rom having this problem as well. I reflashed back to jd's test rom and now I"m able to get incoming calls while I'm on tomtom, garmin, google maps when they are using gps.

It doesn't seem I was able to get incoming calls while using those programs on ghetto's rom.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

There is no issue with Ghetto's ROM. He is one of the very few cooks that alway produce a ROM that works.

First GPS dont work in the house (most of the time). You need to stay outside in an open arfea to get locked.
Second, it may take 5 minutes, it may take 10 minutes. Hang around, put your phone outside, go have a coffee and then check your GPS to see there is a lock!!!
Third...always doo a hard reset after a ROM update......if you do that I can assure you Ghetto's ROM is problem free!!!

I'm having this same problem! I even updated the 3.35 radio drivers to no avail.

There's a thread here discussing it, but no solution as of yet other than flashing with another ROM.......and I'm not doing that any time soon........

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

I must say that this is probably the best ROM I have used yet.

GPS is dead on and I have Rev A speeds all the time, not just when it's convenient for Sprint and the phone.

After some minimal modifications(replaced imaged with OEM look images)

It, combined with the Titan 3.35.04 Radio, has resulted in me having almost full bars where I never had a good signal before.

Take this for example. In my apartment and at work, I could NEVER get more than 1-2 bars EVDO. Now in my apartment I have FULL EVDO bars and 2-3 Bars at work.

Before, when we would have "Tornado Drills" and all be evacuated to the Tornado Shelter at work, I would never have a signal down there, NOT even 1X. Now I have 1 bar EVDO down, and at least 3 1X.

This ROM has been a godsend for me and I will not be changing anytime soon.

Thank you SO MUCH for your excellent work ghettofreeryder!!!
