I just soft reset, then cleared out google maps (reset back to stock in its options) all the cache cleared etc, and clicked use gps with nothing else running and a-gps got me in about 5 seconds and about 10 ft from where i am saying acquiring (0) meaning there was no real gps yet or satellite lock. A-gps is surely active in gpstest 2.1, which im using, if you did the registry edits. It is surely not caching.

I thought the same thing... but do the same test. But drive 5 miles away before you turn it back on. It will load up a map of the last known location, and it will not move until the number of satellites reads more than 0.
