Is there any way I could change towers. sorry im new to this.. this is my first post, Thanks.

i am in phoenix and it tells me that the recommended server is los angeles........ i dont know whhy, but you can click on any one of them that you want, i have pinged all over the world just for fun, austrailia, japan. i think the reason los angeles is my/your "preffered" server is because of the type and strength of the server not neccisarily the location in proximity. make sense?
austrailia http://www.speedtest.net/result/305395300.png
japan http://www.speedtest.net/result/305395728.png and in my sig is my "preffered" server (fyi all my tests done on my laptop laying in bed drinking a beer or three, with wmwifirouter, worth the money.)

What radio and PRL are you using to get that high speed?

dHarvey Black Vista ROm 2.9; "Rev A: Enabled"

"Rev A: Disabled" Test 2

From the looks of it, Disabled is the new Enabled.

Thats because its actually the opposite. When it says "Rev A: Enabled", that means Rev A is actually disabled, and you have to click on Enabled to actually activate(Enable) it. Hence the big difference in speeds. The same goes for Vice Versa.

I repeated this with Atlanta, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, and Tampa. Download was never below 9600. I'm not complaining.

This is with 0 or 1 bar at home. So apparently the phone signal is not related to the data signal.

You dont have to call Verizon. Those speeds are definitely not your actual speeds through your phone. The same thing happened to me once and told me that my Sprint download speeds were 30 mbps......yeah, right. Clear your cache, and cookies. Then rerun the test. The first time you run it afterwards will likely show your true speed....Oh, and the signal has absolutely everything to do with your download speed.

Thanks a lot. Now my speeds suck. :disgust:

That info should probably be in the Speedtest FAQ.
