Re: Rev. A Speed Tests - Please Post your results

Just got my invite for Skyfire II and immediately installed it and went to mobilespeedtest.com.

My results are UNREAL!!!!

3508.4kbps download. That's insane. It has to be the browser. I do have Rev A on my Touch so I expected 1400-1600, not 3500. I'm lovin Skyfire. Will never use another browser again.

For the 500th time, when you run a speed test with either Skyfire or Opera you are not speed testing the phones connection. You are running a speed test of their servers. The phone only downloads the section of the page that you are currently browsing.

Re: Rev. A Speed Tests - Please Post your results

Mansfield, MA. 2 bars indoors 800-900, full bars outside 900-950.

I tested the connection before flashing and it was about the same. No dramatic increase in speed, that's for sure.

EDIT: I ran those tests from work with Speak Easy because I didn't have the USB cable with me to tether. Tried at home tethering, 2-3 bars.
