Re: Rev. A Speed Tests - Please Post your results

I bummed, at the house I only 1.2/.3 Mbps. If I go to my school I get 2.5/.4 Mbps. My home DSL is only 1.5/.45 Mbps. If I could get 2.5 at my house I would be tempted to just use my phone.

Last month I hit 10GB of downloads on my phone (lots of streaming). Wonder when I'll get that hate letter from Sprint.

Anyone figure this out yet? I have JD's super lite rom and under Data Parameters I only have "packet dial string" - no revA.....

8000-10000! Are you sure you aren't going through your computer's internet conection. Isn't that well beyond the Rev A spec? Wonder if I can get a cheap FrameRelay to your phone?

As for jumps that would be normal depending on the load of the cell site. Mine can very from 1500 to 2600 kbps

Well, my speedtest was satisfactory

This was my wife playing while waiting for boarding at the airport. Connected via Bluetooth PAN to the Touch. 0 lag until the BT network dropped. Speedtest came up to just under 1300 kbs.

Re: Rev. A Speed Tests - Please Post your results

I have not upgraded yet to Rev. A but I just wanted to check the speed using the standard Touch Rom that came with my phone. I have to say, wow. This is with 3 bars in Atlanta, GA.

I selected the recommended server it said. Ping no so great. I wonder if Rev A will make a difference? I am also currently downloading the stock rom from PPCGeeks FTP and I am downloading at 150 to 200KB/sec. That is almost faster that my work connections with a full T-1.

Re: Rev. A Speed Tests - Please Post your results

well this is disappointing; sitting in the same seat, touch in left hand, wife's treo 755p in right, touch gets 284 kbs and the treo gets 640 kbs... switching hands did not help.
