I follow the instructions for the Altell ROM to work with my Sprint Touch. Only I made sure to not to run the customization screen but I still have no internet.. Is it still a fact that the new HTC Sprint MOD doesn't allow GPS. It works with Telenav when I tried it but I can't get any other programs to see any sats.

Hey MindFrost82,

I went through the step-by-step process you provided, but for whatever reason, I still get the following message when I attempt to use "My Location" in Google Maps:

"Your handset doesn't seem to be compatible with My Location (beta) feature"

My thought is that I did not "install" the unlocking and Titan CAB files correctly. All I did was copy these to my device and tried to open them there. I did, however, receive text messages indicating that they had been installed.

I understand this is a bit of a past post, but I would greatly appreciate your help here. Please let me know what I can do!

Does this work equally well on the Verizon XV6900, the same phone basically?

I don't get it. Ive seen at least 10 people ask about how to get there internet connection working again after letting customization run and not a single person responded with an answer or even the slightest bit of help. Did anyone get it working again? I'm asking because I obviously have the same problem after letting customizations run Ive lost internet. Doesn't anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

could anyone tell me, if i can get my gps unlocked without Flashing a Rom in my phone ? cause the other day i flased Kaos Rom from SPJ and could not get any of my services to work, I was in constant roming, and internet didnt want to work an verizon couldnt do anything but let me get another phone. so please if i can get my gps to work without flashing a rom let me know thanks

ok guys, before I do this, I want to make sure of a couple of things. I just flashed my HTC Touch to the newest version from Sprint.

I have step by step GPS but I have to pay 9.00 a month for it. The main reason I want to do this is to get step by step GPS on my Touch.

I am not sure about the comments about ALLTELL. I have the HTC Touch with the following info below.

MP6900SP is the product Number

Rom Ver: 3.03.651.4
Radio Ver:3.42.30
Hardware Ver: 0001
PRI Ver: 2.04_003
CPU QualComm (R) 7500
Speed: 400mhz
Ram: 128

Can I use everything at the start of this topic for my Touch.

Sprint doesn't need this hack to get the Rev-A speed or the unlocked GPS anymore. If you upgraded your ROM to WM6.1 you have this already, this thread was started before there was an official wm6.1 upgrade from HTC and Spring. For turn by turn GPS you will have to pay for it, no matter what - however you can still get some GPS support from free apps, like Google Maps and Live search. Sprint actually comes with live search, and Manila2d will add googlemaps. Keep in mind all you're paying for is the software, the wm6.1 unlocks the gps function on the chip and the Rev-A radio.
