How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

I did not hit reset before the customizations.
I DO have internet
BECAUSE
I use Sprite Backup and I forced it to "restore the database" and when it asked I specified that this was restoring after a "ROM update"

so if i make a sprite backup right before installing the rom, i can still restore using that backup? that would make things a lot easier! would be awesome if i could get my phone setup (customizations and apps installed) quickly after rom update.

I'm no super expert but it seems to have worked for me. I am def getting rev.a (new icon, notably faster speeds) but I havent been able to get GPS to work with google maps.

Have people been using google maps or another GPS software app?

I appreciate the work to make this but I'm having some problems. I'm following the directions in the first post but when I get to the part where I run the unlocker, I'm having some problems. I run the unlocker and it goes to the multi-colored screen on the phone and the Dos prompt says to disconnect and reconnect the phone, that's where I run into problems. I can't seem to get the phone to connect again. Any ideas. I really want to make this work.

Just a tid-bit of info...After your unlocked and you run the alltel*.exe file...

There are 2 nbh files inside the exe. when flashing my rom it paused at 11% and freaked me out. I am assuming the first nbh is the radio and the second is program files. so if after 11% your flashing hangs and your phone goes back into bootloader...GIVE IT A MINUTE or TWO. It will resume loading the second nbh.

Of course I assume 2 nbh's, 1=radio, 2=rom image

Hmmmm, my post doesn't seem to be there. Anyway, I'm having trouble with this. I connect my phone through activesync, run the unlocker and I get the multi-colored screen and the Dos prompt to disconnect and reconnect the phone. It's at this point I'm confused. I reconnect the USB cable but I don't get an activesync connection. Am I supposed to reset the phone and then reconnect? What am I doing wrong? Help is appreciated. I really want to make this work.

ok, now the original sprint ROM doesn't want to load... I would normally call this a bricked phone, but because It appears the AllTel ROM is updating I will likely use it for now to load the VOGUIMG.nbh to the flash card, reset... yadda yadda... then get the Sprint ROM to work...

(yeah I dont have a microsd adapter for my computer... )
