Re: New Alltel 3.04.671.2 Rom Released, Rev A enabled

Aright, after going from my old custom 6.1 ROM, hard reset, flashing to the new unlocker, and then flashing to JD's I was stuck at the HTC logo screen even after hard resetting again. I flashed 3 times, last time was a re-download to ensure it wasn't a bad download. No luck any of the 3 times. I just flashed to the alltel. Noticeable differences in flashing: It rebooted 2-4 times during the install.. seems like its doing some things that JD's doesn't do like install some extra drivers ect.

From here i'm going to flash to JD's rom, posted around page 33. I'll provide a detailed final post once I'm done to help everyone out that wants to do this once i confirm it working through the alltel flash first then to JD's rom... it seems that's the key.

Edit: Skipped the customizing and data works for the alltel wireless right off the bat, not IOTA or whatever its called needed for me. Checked voicemail to check voice, works as well. So if you want to try the alltel it works out of the box so long as you skip customizing (i poped out the battery to do this, i guess you can also hit the reset button).

It seems going alltel and then to JD's is the way to do it... but I'll post after so no one elses wastes their time.

If not back to my old 6.1 rom for the time being...
It sounds like the problem is that some of you are still running a lower radio then 3.xx if this is the case then the rom is not going to boot ..... so run the unlocker then flash the alltel exe then flash my rom

Has anyone tested the Alltell rom with a Bell vogue and successfully had revA and gps working?

Re: New Alltel 3.04.671.2 Rom Released, Rev A enabled

i followed this instructions here
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=229
i got scared a few times when the phone went to the bootloader menu a few times while it's flashing @10% but after that it went fine.. the gps is trying to lock now as i'm writing this post and also i used QPST to check the settings of the phone and for weird reason the NAM and some other settings went to default Sprint (although i have changed them before) so if you are having problems with the Internet check the settings of M.IP in i think they have changed and that's why some are having trouble accessing the net..

thanks to all who helped in this

Re: New Alltel 3.04.671.2 Rom Released, Rev A enabled

Got it working, MUST DO ALLTEL FIRST clearly as JD said above. That was my mistake and probably a lot others... not sure why I thought it'd be cool just going to JD's.

Anyway so here it is step by step:
1. Install unlocker 2.31
2. Hard reset
3. Install alltel rom on first page (don't freak out at the reboots)
4. Skip customization if you want to keep alltel at this point and have it work
5. Install JD's Rom
6. Hard reset

Takes a bit to load into the first time, long time on the windows mobile 6.1 green screen, but hang in there.
