why would you want to overwrite the Alltel ROM with a sprint 6.1? that would jsut put you back to where you currently are. someone has to, as i understand it, pull apart the alltel ROM and add 6.1 into it to get alltel rev a/6.1 together. if you can give up threaded right now for rev a/gps then... Im sure there will be alltel/6.1 roms up tomm.

I will be willing To do some tests with my sprint vogue next week. I am warrantying my phone and will be receiving a swap out. Get some instructions/files together and I will do whatever is needed.

You say I would be right back where I started but I'm not sure if that is necessarily true. Flashing to a custom 6.1 Sprint ROM after flashing the Alltel ROM will not erase the SPL or radio since it the custom ROM I am planning on flashing is OS only.

My reason for this is to avoid the bugs in the new Alltel ROM by using a ROM that I already know is stable but still maintaining the SPL and Radio version from the Alltel ROM and getting my Sprint internet settings back on the device instead of Alltel's.

Please someone correct me if this will not work but it seems like it should.
