Re: New Alltel Rom?
Good news all, thanks coke for all the work you're doing.
Has it been confirmed that this rom gets us no where nearer to GPS? Just Curious... Keep up the good work, Spamftw |

Re: New Alltel Rom?
BTW I am on Alltel. And I can also confirm there seems to be some software compatibility issues now. MacFlo does not work on the updated rom. I flashed my phone twice only loading MacFlo each time to confirm this. The creen goes dark and launches apps but the cube faces don't load. I'll post this to the MacFlo thread as well.
Also, each time I flash my phone, my SID is being dropped (reset to a 1) and I have to manually fix this. Seems to be a bug in the rom |

I'm having the same problem. It also wouldn't work correctly with Icube or Vistacube. And couldn't uninstall them. Had to hard reset. |

Re: New Alltel Rom?
You can't SuperCID the phone without flashing to a HardSPL, which I think you can't do without being able to boot the phone.
Although a thought I had is, if you can't flash an old OEM ROM because the original HardSPL was overwritten by the new SPL and CID locking the phone, shouldn't you be able to go back into bootloader and completely flash the new Alltel ROM, THEN boot the phone, write HardSPL back into it, and then flash an old OEM Sprint ROM back into it? |

I don't think its possible to flash the complete Alltel rom due to the fact it checks the CID to see which carrier the phone belongs to. |

Re: New Alltel Rom?
just thought i'd share:
I broke apart the new nbh and took out the special radio file. I then broke it apart and took out the spl, leaving only the radio. After flashing only the radio, my device is deinitely Rev. A enabled. My speeds on my phone have never been anywhere close to as fast as they are now. PLEASE NOTE: flashing just the radio (ONLY DO THIS IF YOU REMOVE THE SPL FROM THE RADIO NBH FIRST) will cause your phone to say "NO RADIO" when it boots. BUT the phone will still work just fine. It has great signal and my internet is 5x faster than it was (based on the speeds i'm getting at dslreports.com/mspeed) I've successfully flashed it back to the stock radio with no problem. |
