i'm also a bit of a noob so i might not be setting up the external gps just right. I used the gps test program and set my software port to com4 and now it is stuck on initializing gps. but that's using an external puck that i can't make work. there are issues with it but im sure we'll find a way around them. And Alltel knows something of it now (like that it exists!) so there may be future patches

Hey my stock sprint rom is flawless... well except for the sd corruption issues and the wakeup from standby issue

that wasnt my point. my point was you're trying to add stuff TO a stock ROM which cant guarantee its stability on those parts (like gps). And oh wait that must be like the 2.17 (i believe was the numbers, it was the november 2007 one) mogul official ROM that was released and pulled because it was crappy, or the original OEM ship one that was almost unusable. Saying an official release MEANS stability is debatable.

And yes my Sprint Touch has no issues in 5.5 months owning it- never had the standby error, never hard the card corrupt, notta in the stock ROM, custom 6.0 roms or 6.1 roms.

ha funny guy.. only if you knew how long i'v been with the ppc..lol at htc and winmo have other devices? tell me what else on sprint works without bugs or constant crashes that is winmo..lol the Mogul ahaha i had 5 of those.. guess how many Qs i had 7!!! lol...XV6700 3 of those im on my 3rd Touch and i've had enough with HTC until they get their acts right.. i'm getting a free blackberry pearl and curve so why not give em a try..its FREEE!!!

anywayz don't mind me..guys pls do carry on and good luck im hoping for the best!!!! and maybe the treo 800 will be the Holygrail of em all!

Well honestly, good for you. hope you get a phone you're happy with, that's really what it's all about. My touch has no crashes and I text/email about 1.5k a month (that's what school does to ya) when it was running Official ROMs for 4-5 months before i started flashing. and looks like i'll be flashing a new rom again shortly!

How do I go about getting the internet and carrier setting for Sprint?
