This is very true but at the same time, I also keep an original Sprint OEM ROM saved on my notebook computer as well which will effectively re-lock the device and restore the warranty. I hope I never come across that situation but... **As a salesman you always have to be prepared the for the worst**

If I were you I would only mention wm6.1 If the customer asks for it.
it is not wise to be using it as a sales push
honestly I believe you're taking too many risks doing this

Problem with that is the average consumer who may be interested in the Touch has no idea their phone can be upgraded to WM6.1.

I always instruct customers that if they are having issues with the phone after they purchase it come and see me and I will do everything I can to remedy the issue.

IMHO if they don't know about wm6.1, they probably don't need it

good luck!

Re: Original OEM Sprint WM6.1 Rom

i installed this rom yesterday and it froze while trying to send a text. i have also experienced the phone not waking up for texts and phone calls from sleep mode. i haven't experienced the latter problem since flashing a custom rom. i am going back to one of the custom roms probably OMJs. I had no lockups or freezes with his v5 rom.

Re: Original OEM Sprint WM6.1 Rom

Kudos JD, stable ROM.

Is it me or does 6.1 make the Touch just a tad bit sluggish?

Clean right outta flashing, just toying around seeing what's different, menus , program loads and refresh seem slower IMHO..

Anyone experiencing this?

Re: Original OEM Sprint WM6.1 Rom

I set a 32MB Pagepool on my Original OEM Sprint WM6.1 Rom and loving it. It only leaves me with about 85MB of ram to use for the OS and programs but I still only use roughly 60 percent of that leaving 40 free. You can actually edit the pagepool info of the rom before you flash it. Im sure somebody has a pagepool editor rar'd into their kitchen that you can run and edit the rom with.
