Now my phone won't even go into evdo rev - 0 any more. It is stuck in 1x. I flashed the Alltel rom and soft resetted before custom. Then I flashed your rom. Did I miss something???

I cooked a Verizon version, fredcatsmommy has already tested it for me.....

I have not had time to mess w/ any PPC stuff since Fri (gotta alot of catchin up)......anyways, I only had the stock Alltel rom loaded for a short time, but not really long enough to test, before going to this custom rom......the little amount I used it over the weekend, at times seems abit laggy, and my radio seems not as good, though I am getting faster speeds.....gps has also stopped working.

Feedback from anyone who has tried my custom rom?

No real issues, works fine. Just waiting for you to get out the wm6.1. GPS works, rev-a works when the network isn't bogged down. Not bad for as quickly as you got it out.

alright good stuff omj, i think the ideal rom we are all looking for is a sprint rom with 6.1 (god i love threaded sms) and the gps/rev A incorporated in it... an UC would be an awesome bonus.. i didnt realize how long it took to manually install everything again haha..

I've not found this to be buggy at all, I have it loaded. As for the working GPS, would you post registry settings related to the GPS, and describe how your GPS is working? I've tried a number of times and ways. With Googlemaps, it says its initializing and shortly afterwards says no gps receiver found. With GPSviewer, the scan says Open Failed for all COMs except for COM7 and COM8, and there it says None. When I hit Open GPS, it says no comport for all by COM7 and COM8, and then never connects. I've been able to use my holux gps on COM4 without a problem. Much appreciated!

I haven't had any problems with GPS at all... My only problem is when I do a soft reset. It takes a good minute or two just to connect to the sprint network...

yeah, it wont be long (though I havent even started yet), I've got alot on my plate right now (work/fam/ppc), I'm still trying to catch up on posts since fri....I did clean out the Alltel OEM for the ppcgeeks kitchen, so it wont be too long

also, I just read about a new build 19701 so there's something else to play with....

Folks want their threaded sms, but we can wait for a good solid build. As you may have seen I'm donating some of my personal oem's for the ppckitchen project. I'll still find a way to do all my customizations, I'll just have to finger out a way to personalize that initflashfiles.dat. But looks like you guys are doing a bangup job on that new kitchen. Keep up the good work and don't let us take you away from your work.cab & fam.cab!

Im In Canada now, and GPS doesnt seem to work up here. And i also cant send text messages, but can recieve. 2.31 then alltel, then Your OMJ...

Sprint phone roaming in canada....

Tried JD's and Mustang.. same text problem, and gps... Maybe the new radio not good up here?

Have you tried GPSViewer? This will show just the satellites that you are locked onto. Could be your software only has US maps. But gps is world wide thing.

I don't know how network dependant gps is, but I'm in the back of my store locked on to 5 satellites! I can't even get FM reception in here, nor does a regular gps work unless outside. Now I'm thinking...I'll attach a picture when I get home, how funny....
