OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM with UC! v8 Updated 04-16-08

OMJ, I just flashed my Touch to your ROM and it runs great. I just have a couple of requests if you could help me out. I need to know what I need to do to change certain things or what Reg Edits I need to do to get cetain things back to normal:

1. I would like to remove the Time and Date from the Taskbar since I have my own app the I like to use and that is getting in my way. No way to remove it through Settings from what I have tried.

2. How can I get the colors back to the original Grays like, everything is light blue and personally I dont think it makes my phone look sleek enough, it takes away from it. Im sure you know what I mean about things being blue instead of the default gray.

3. Somehow, Pocket CM 0.20 won't work with this ROM. Is it me or what? I download it and when I go to run it, it shows up for half a second and shuts off. It will continue doing that no matter how many times I try to run it or install it.

That is it, I think for the moment. Im not sure what else I had in mind but those were my main concerns. Thank you so much in advance.

this is the first rom ive flashed... good stuff.. is there any way i can remove the top battery bar tho?

EDIT: Nevermind.. removed it from the startup folder.. im good... love the rom man lookin forward to making my own

hey man.. so far so good.. im LOVIN this effin rom.. hasnt froze yet and its exactly what i was looking for.. with all the sprint plug-ins.. you da bomb.. i love you lol.. (no homo)

it seems every now an then the weather wont update.. it randomly does but most of the time it wont

I read up that MS Voice Command might be the problem when the phone Locks up so frequently (I was locking up 5+ times a day). Now it only locks up when it goes to sleep for long periods like at night. I will wake up with a locked up phone. Signal light is still on but phone wont wake up. But now it doesnt freeze up while using it like it did if it does at all since I disabled MS Voice Command.

So, this is why Im going to try out your ROM now OMJ, gotta see if it stops happening once and for all. I also am going with yours because besides Mr.jcarter's and the original clean ROM, yours is the the next Clean one without MS Voice Command.

No, MS voice cmd is not in my ROM, just the stock voice dialer. I have not had any freezing w/ my ROM.

nope, hopefully some day. There's suppose to be a new offical ROM out soon that has gps.

1. go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell then you can play around & adjust the following:

"ShowTitleBarClock" default is 2

"TBOpt"=3 gives you both time & date
"TBOpt"=2 gives you just the date
"TBOpt"=1 gives you just the time
"TBOpt"=0 gives you neither time nor date, but covers the signal icon halfway....funky....I have mine set to "1".

2. go to settings\personal\today change your theme to HTC

3. sounds like some kind of conflict.....may have to do w/ WM6.1???

I havent used the htc weather in awhile, I know in the past there was an update for the weather.....I'll look into it.

ok, so i got the default weather base to work, but it won't upload the custom ones for nothing, it worked before i flashed this rom on another one so i'm not sure if its the hhc itself, maybe its something with the regedits of this new rom or something idk

I havent used the htc weather in awhile, I know in the past there was an update for the weather.....I'll look into it.

Hey, thanks for the quick response. I was able to remove the date and I just left the time up on the task bar which gets masked by pBar, which is the program I use. I also created my own Theme which I customized to have the colors just like I wanted them.

Anyways, I love your ROM so far, no lock up anymore. I have tried about 5 custom ROMs with WM6.1 and I got lock ups with all. It might be because this ROM stays a little more true to the original SPRINT ROM or maybe because you did not include MS Voice Command, which was present I think in all the other ROMS I tried.

On a side not. PocketCM 0.20b is still not working on this ROM for some odd reason. It worked on all previous WM6.1 ROMs. Im not sure if it is my fault or what but the program installs fine and when I run it, it will run for maybe 1 whole second and then closes on its own. I need help getting this to work since I love this program.

Is there anyway you or anyone reading this post could install it on their phone who use this particular ROM. If it works on your guys' phones then it has to be something I must have done or a program I must have installed. Anyways, anything will help. By the way, this is a C++ program that doesnt use .net framework if this is any help to any one. Thanks in advance and thanks for the great ROM OMJ.

im noticing that this rom tends to freeze up kinda often while in sleep mode.. like 3 times a day.. anyone else experiencing this?

Alright, i was able to get PocketCM to work now. I just did a hard reset and its working fine.

By the way, this has be the only ROM i have not experienced any lock ups with.
